Restylane® Contour, what is it?
Restylane Contour is the latest hyaluronic acid (HA) filler from Galderma, makers of Dysport and the Restylane Family of fillers. Hyaluronic acid is a component already present in healthy, youthful skin.
What is Restylane® Contour for? What does it do?
Restylane® Contour is used to recreate the contour of the youthful face. Age-related changes result in mid-face volume loss, causing sagging, sallow cheeks and deep lines around your nose and mouth (nasolabial folds), commonly known as “parenthesis.” Restoring the lift to your cheeks may also lessen the appearance of jowling or improve a square face shape. Contour is intended to give your cheeks that soft, feminine curve that you once had, or never had, but always wanted. Contour allows normal facial movement and expressions without giving your face a distorted or unnatural appearance.
How much Restylane® Contour do I need?
Choosing your look is a very personal decision. Some may want to gradually improve their appearance, while others may want full correction at the time of initial treatment. Many people are apprehensive of doing “too much” and end up doing “too little.” The majority who receive treatment with Contour need approximately 4 syringes for notable correction. Expect to start with at least 2 syringes to begin your rejuvenation journey. Without an adequate amount of filler used, you may see little or no improvement. With sufficient treatment, visible “wow” results are immediate.
Will I look like a chipmunk?
No, not unless you want to!

What can be done if I don’t like how it looks?
As with all the Restylane family of HA fillers, Contour can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. The hyaluronidase is an enzyme which, when injected into the filler, dissolves it immediately.
