Looking for a non-surgical alternative to rejuvenate your skin? Then it’s time to discover microneedling, a safe and effective treatment that uses your body’s own collagen production to increase cellular turnover while promoting a glowing, youthful-looking complexion.
How Does Microneedling Work?
Microneedling is performed with Rejuvapen™, a small, pen-like device that uses the power of microtip needles to encourage cellular turnover within the treatment area. The needles are quickly injected into the dermis, thus creating micro-wounds that kickstart collagen production. Unlike other microneedling devices, Rejuvapen™ doesn’t use any suction, which eliminates uncomfortable clogging while reducing post-treatment bruising and swelling.
Am I a Candidate for Microneedling?
You’re a good candidate for microneedling if you have any of the following skin concerns:
- Wrinkles and fine lines
- Acne and trauma scarring
- Dull, dry skin
Microneedling is safe for all skin types and tones.
Your Microneedling Procedure
Before your microneedling procedure, your skin will be cleaned and prepared for treatment. A topical numbing cream will be applied. During the treatment, the device will be moved across your skin’s surface, which allows the Rejuvapen™ to treat as much of the dermis as possible. The entire procedure takes about 30 to 45 minutes to perform.
Recovery and Results
Recovery time is minimal. Your skin will be slightly red and sensitive to sunlight. For the best results, it is important to use sunscreen daily. Makeup is not recommended to be worn for 2-3 days after the procedure.
You should begin seeing results after a couple of weeks. You may need to undergo more than one microneedling session to achieve your ideal results. A trusted member of our team will go over your custom treatment plan.
