How do I get that look? We have the answers you’ve been looking for!
What is a Lip Flip?
A lip flip is a quick and easy procedure performed with botox. Botox relaxes the upper lip allowing it to slightly “flip” up, giving a bit more “red show” of the upper lip.
Getting a lip flip can be a first step for those contemplating lip filler as it enhances the shape of the lips without adding bulk, fullness or projection of the lip.
A lip flip can be beneficial for those who notice their upper lip “disappears” when you smile. When you look back through those photos, a lip flip can give you something to smile about!

How can I get younger looking lips?

How do I get rid of a perpetual frown?
The corners of the mouth can turn downward making it look as though you are always frowning.
If the corners of the mouth are droopy because of lack of structure, dermal filler can create the support needed. Lip filler can be used to restore your natural shape of your lips by providing the needed support.
Botox can be used to relax the muscles that pull the corners of the mouth downward. When those muscles are relaxed, the corners of the mouth return to a more pleasant position.

I have lipstick lines or smokers’ lines. What can I do to correct this?
Vertical lip lines can become more accentuated with time, and you don’t even need to be a smoker! Vertical lip lines are created when kissing, drinking through a straw, from a water bottle, any action that makes you pucker your lips.
Filler and/or botox can be used to soften or even eliminate lipstick lines. Restoring the lip border can diminish the look of the lines.
If needed, the lines themselves can be filled using either one of the Juvederm or Restylane families of dermal fillers.
Botox can be used to decrease your “pucker power” thereby softening the lines and preventing them from getting deeper.

How can I improve the appearance of my chin?
There are many terms used to describe the condition of your chin such as Cobblestone Chin, Dimpled chin, Peach Pit Chin, Peau d’orange but they essentially describe the same condition in which muscle contraction can make the chin look wrinkled and dimpled.
Thankfully we know that Botox can successfully relax the muscles in your chin and restore its smooth appearance.

How can I improve my “Witch’s Chin”?
As we age our chin can begin to appear to be more “pointy” due to a loss of facial volume between the lower lip and anterior jawline, the lower border of the chin. This can appear as a deepening of the crease above the chin.
Botox can also relax the chin muscle causing a horizontal crease on the chin, under the lower lip and dermal fillers, such as the Juvederm and Restylane family of fillers, can be used to restore volume.

How can I get a younger looking neck?
Our necks are both delicate and highly visible making it one of the first places we notice aging. The good news is that there are treatments that can help improve its appearance and give you a younger looking neck.
For vertical neck bands (guitar strings) – Botox can be used to relax these muscles so that they don’t pop out and become so noticeable.
For horizontal neck lines (tech neck) – A result of continued head down position while using mobile devices and other screens. Once reserved for ladies in their 40’s and 50’s, we now see these age-related signs in 20-30 year olds.
Dermal fillers, such as the Juvederm and Restylane families of fillers, can be used directly in the crease. Laser Genesis can be used to rebuild the collagen that used to give the neck the youthful smooth appearance.
Skin care products like those from Alastin and SkinMedica (buy online from our store!) product lines, are used to stimulate collagen production. Inducing new collagen production, which is the reason that Laser Genesis works so well, can help prevent lines and even correct minimal lines.

How can I get younger looking eyes, including eyebrows?
Your eyes can say a lot about you, whether it’s true or not! Your eyes can say you are tired, worried, didn’t get enough sleep, or that you are angry and upset or even sad. Thankfully modern science has given us multiple ways to address this such as Botox, fillers like Juvederm and Restylane families of filler, and laser treatments.
Crows’ Feet – The lines around the eyes, known as crows feet, form from squinting and smiling. Because the lines are caused by muscle contraction, relaxing those muscles with Botox can help reduce or resolve these lines.
Dark Circles – Dark circles under the eyes can have more than one cause. Pigment: Depigmenting creams – SkinMedica Lytera 2.0 Pigment Correcting Serum is just one topical product, among others, that can be used to address pigmentation issues.
Hollows/shadow – Filler, like the Juvederm and Restylane families of fillers, can be used to fill in the sunken appearance under the eyes. Structural support and padding are recreated with filler to give you a smooth contour from eye to cheek. Most people will also need cheek filler to fully restore the youthful curve of the face.
Vascular – The skin under the eyes is very thin with many blood vessels in that area. Veins that are close to the surface can give you a dark hue. Sometimes, vascular laser treatments can improve the appearance of dark circles caused by vasculature.
Eye bags/festoons – Bags under the eyes as usually a soft, movable, fatty pad of tissue. These fat pad collections can only be removed with surgery. However, the festoons can be camouflaged by injecting dermal fillers around them to create the illusion of a smooth contour with the cheek.
Droopy eyebrows/Downturning eyebrows – Botox can give you a non-surgical “brow lift.” Further brow elevation may be achieved by using dermal filler to restore the support to the eyebrow itself. Some will benefit from filler injection (Juvederm/Restylane) to the temples.
Bone loss occurs in the brow region allowing the eyebrow to “drop.” Loss of bone structure in the brow and forehead can accentuate crows’ feet by allowing the now “excess skin” to fold into the eye area.
Temples – Bone loss in the temples can give the appearance of a “peanut” shape to the face. Dermal fillers can restore the forehead to its more youthful shape. Using dermal fillers at the temples can also help with droopy eyebrows and crows feet, since everything falls “downhill.”
How do I get rid of Accessory Smile Lines?
Also known as laugh lines, these accessory smile lines appear when the nasolabial fold is accentuated by laughing or smiling over the course of our lifetime while we age.
The good news is that these very common signs of aging can be treated well with dermal fillers such as the Juvederm and Restylane families of fillers.
Dermal fillers can last for 12 months or more and are well tolerated by the vast majority of patients.
How do I get rid of Marionette Lines?
Marionette lines are similar to laugh lines but instead come down from the sides of the mouth, kind of framing the mouth in a way that looks like a marionette or puppet.
These lines are generally less severe than laugh lines and can also be treated with dermal fillers like the Juvederm and Restylane families of fillers (Refyne and Defyne).
